Hey guys.

So I don't know if anyone noticed, but not only am I the only mod left here now, but I apparently also own the community thanks to LiveJournal's whole ownership thing. Don't worry, nothing's going to change! This is a wonderful group of people and I have no intention of leaving or changing the comm.

However, I'm looking at spending at least four months - maybe a year - in Japan this upcoming school year, where I'll be busy teaching and networking for job placement after graduation. I'll be very busy, and while I won't completely abandon the comm, having someone else to help me look after it since I'll be more occupied would be helpful.

So, the new chapter was supposed to be out on the 10th of March, yet, I haven't seen it online yet, not even on Chinese sites. (Perhaps I'm just not looking right)
Does anyone have it/did anyone see it?

Tsubaki has posted an update, confirming that she is safe. She lives in Kanagawa, and apparently the quake was quite strongly felt there - there have also been numerous aftershocks.

Like many of us, she doesn't really know what to say about the quake except to express her sorrow and pray that everyone will pull through.

At the moment, she's continuing to single-mindedly draw new chapters of Number, and she's said that she's attempting to put some hope into it. The ending is approaching soon, it seems...

Tsubaki has said that she will not be updating her blog for a while as she wants to focus on drawing manga. In her own words, she wants to use her skills so that even one person can be cheered up by her creation.



As for the rest of us, we're a very small community so it probably feels like there isn't much to do. If you are in a position to do so, please donate to whatever organisation is supporting Japan in your country. I know there are a number of international websites set up by the Red Cross, Shelterbox, etc., so you should be able to help that way at least.

If there is any kind of appeal that you have started or know of and you want to advertise it here, I'm sure the mods will be okay with that.
Even if we're small, every little bit helps someone.

Um, hello I just recently joined this community and I was wondering if anyone has chapter 16 or if anyone knows where I can find it? It's ok if it's raw or translated, either way's fine with me. The last chapter i read was 15 and I just can't move on to the rest of the chapters without reading chapter 16, So if anyone knows I'd really appreciate it :))

I was going to just edit the other post but there's a bit more new stuff than I had thought. orz

Tsubaki-sensei made like four long posts in a row today. The first is about the vol.6 cover and blurb - there's no release date in her post which leads me to think it might be out today (same day as avarus Feb issue). The second is about how the text on the little cardboard advertising thing has changed with each volume. Third post is to do with the special illustration for vol 6 which I'll explain shortly, and the fourth is the usual monthly spoilers.

Anyway, as you probably know each volume comes with an author's message card-type-thing. The first two volumes had black&white ones, and the third seems to have just had the special cover/character notes at the end, but since then they've been in colour. Usually you only get it if you buy from Animate, however.

This time, it seems that it's the same as the centrefold piece in the newest Avarus issue.

That last one also has a short list of characters' alcohol tolerance:

• Tekirai doesn't get drunk on sake. Make what you will of the fact that sake is specified here. I can't quite understand the second part of the sentence though. Maybe he's just really good at pretending not to be drunk?
• Ageha has legendary alcohol tolerance. Apparently it would be difficult to find someone who can match him from anywhere in the world. I bet Gensokyo's oni would take up that challenge.
• Kuchinashi has a weak alcohol tolerance, but often drinks too much anyway (and then falls asleep)
• Toneriko...stares at the sky for ages with no reason? I don't even what 何故かずっと上を見てる。means, so yeah.
• Tama-chan apparently also has legendary alcohol tolerance. o_O but then she shouldn't be drinking anyway...it's probably a joke.

I'm not sure if she'll do more of these or not, the last one was a bit unclear on that.

Hi guys. It's your mod and scanslation guru Hana here. (･ω･)/


Ahhh, as you've all noticed there's been no scanslations done for quite some time. I apologize for this, but I hope you can all understand that life takes its toll... (･ω･;) (Mana is so dixappoint.) Most noticeably manpower.

As a way of rectifying this, I've decided that I'll start working just on the script translations for the manga. It won't be as immersive as a scanslation, but at least you guys will know what's going on. Sorry to wimp out like this, but again, I hope you understand.

I don't know when I'll get the next translation done, but I hope it will be soon.


If you have a preference for what sort of file the translations should be, just comment and let me know. I'll probably have it in default .rtf, so let me know.




Sorry to let you guys down, and I hope you'll be looking forward to translations, which I'll try to have up asap.
